Long Weekend

So, it has been one rough weekend at the McIntyre House. Cayden and Hannah both started running temperature Friday evening. Cayden's went up to 102.5 :( Poor, poor baby. Anyway, he was just miserable all night long. We kept him medicated, and he started to do a lot better. I really think he's cutting a tooth. His poor gums are very swollen. Hannah's fever went away and was gone all day. but Saturday evening, it spiked again. Explain that one to me. So weird. 101-102 off and on all night, but then she woke up sweating so we figured her fever broke. We avoided going anywhere yesterday and around 5:00 PM, I started feeling lousy. No fever, but I had chills and hot flashes and then I just started feeling dizzy. I got into bed and stayed there most of the evening. Of course, I was unable to fall asleep until near midnight.

By Hannah's bedtime, her fever was back, 102.5. She was so miserable and asleep by 8:00 PM. In the middle of the night she wakes up screaming, "My tummy is hurting! My tummy is hurting!" And the poor little thing had her 1st bout of diarrhea as a potty trained child. It's been 2 years since she's had any sort of bug from that end of her body. And she was miserable, with high fever to boot.

So she's been awake since 5:00 am. Stephen also wasn't feeling well this morning so he called in sick, and our whole crew is home in bed. Hannah's fever is gone. She hasn't had anymore potty issues either. In fact, she said, "Just pee pee, Mommy. Just pee pee." She was so happy. LOL

Cayden is napping and Hannah played Disney Princess Dress Up on the computer while I took a short nap. And now we play the waiting game. I hope it's gone. I would like this bug to leave our house and let me children get back to the happy kids they are when not sick.

So sorry you are all ill. That is no fun!!! Love the Blog btw. And love your header. Super cute. Did you digiscrap it? Oh and LOVED the Secret life of Bees. I think that was the last book I had time to read. When I was pregnant with Tegan. How sad.
