Our weekend has been filled with spending our time with some amazing people. Mid-morning for lunch, we met with the McIntyre gang at Chick Fil A. The kids had a great time playing in the playroom. It's been so nice the past several weeks getting the entire McIntyre family (meaning Grandma, Grandpa, the kids, and the grandkids, and having all of the kids present. We're so thankful for the special family connection we all have with one another. Sometimes I may complain about the crazy closeness of the family, but it really is awesome to have us all together again after being a part for so long. Thank you Roger for serving in our military and keeping our families safe from harm. We admire and respect you. You are a true hero, but we are so glad that you're home for good!
Okay, on to the photos. :) Like I said, the kids had a lot of fun playing together. The Jasos joined us for lunch which always makes for lots of fun.
After lunch, we went our separate ways. Grandpa and Grandma headed off to Willie's 4th of July Picnic. Daniel and Stephanie were off to Kingsland for a day at the lake. And we headed home for a quick nap before heading off to the Glovers' home for our church 4th of July BBQ. And of course, everyone was invited and the Jasos and Bekah with her boys joined in the fun. And it was a lot of fun, with swimming, games, popsicles and more!
Because of the burn ban, we were unable to set off fireworks, but TJ wasn't going to let that spoil the fun. After the picnic, we headed to G&G's for sparklers and ground "firelights" as Hannah calls them.
We hope you had a safe and Happy 4th of July. More celebration from the weekend to come soon!
