Surveying the Damage

Car from rearview.

Hannah's side.  As you can see the frame has moved so much that the door is stuck over the body.

More photos of the back, including one of a random screw.  We still don't know where it came from or where it belongs.

That's it.  I was sick just taking these photos and words I haven't used in years left my mouth.  I'm soooo angry right now.  So angry.

Well here I am surfing Austin blogs and see your smashed car.

That really sucks. Are you still angry?

My husband has a body shop at http://www.autodepotaustin.com (voted a bunch of times best of Austin by the Chronicle readers.)

maybe it'll work out okay in the end.

Thank God she was not hurt and hopefully your body will fully heal.

I will pray for all of you.

I know it looks bad but your car did exactly what you needed it to do...it crumpled up and absorbed the bulk of the force so that you and Hannah didn't have to.

I am so very grateful that you guys were all strapped in and able to walk away.

Rose- so sorry to hear about this. Thankful you all came out ok and hope you heal soon- both physically and emotionally. We'll be thinking of you!

I am just SOOOOOO gald that you and Hannah are going to be OK!! It could have been SOOO MUCH worse and it wasn't. I am glad you two are still with us.
Also I am praying that you will heal well, that your insurance will cover all needs, and that you will find another good car that you LIKE. Again, SO glad you two are going to be OK. HUGS! (Gentle ones as to not hurt!)
