Memorial Day Weekend and Track and Field Day

Memorial Day weekend was a lazy one for us.  It's a good thing, too, because my head was not cooperating with the rest of my body.  I have been getting headaches for quite some time, and it's very frustrating because I have lived without them for so long.  Hard to believe that car accidents can wreck havoc on your good health.  Ugh.  At any rate, I did learn that Yoga is a good way to cure a terrible headache.  After 30 minutes of Wii Fit Yoga on Sunday, my headache finally disappeared.

I've been working out every day for at least 30 minutes.  Some days I get 45 minutes to an hour.  I'm committed to working out and becoming a fit and healthy person.  Of course, losing 60 lbs is also on that list.

Friday we met with our Regroup.  Instead of our weekly discussion, we met at Dick Nichols Park for a Pre-Memorial Day Picnic and Volleyball.  It was a great time to get to know our Regroup members on a less serious level.  We've got some great people in our regroup.  Stephen and I are two of the "Senior" members as there are only 3 people over 30 in our entire regroup.  It's kinda crazy, but those college kids really help to remind us of the carefree life we used to live AND they help us love our children because they are so willing to play with them and remind us to have fun.  We are very blessed with our group.

Yummy burgers and dogs!  (And LOTS of watermelon).

Making "sand angels."  I didn't get a photo of Cayden, but he was making "bad guy angels in the sand."

On Monday, we were invited over to "Grandma" Lavonna and "Grandpa" Gerry's place for a BBQ and Swimming.  The BBQ was wonderful.  The pool was FREEZING so Cayden and I opted out of swimming.  We brought Buster along as we were asked and he had a family reunion with his brother and mommy.
